Frequently asked questions
AI identification or diagnosis fails
- Use a clear photo with the plant centered and well lit.
- Check your internet connection.
- AI features require server availability; try again later if you see a rate-limit or server error.
- Free monthly AI credits may be used up — check Settings → subscription / paywall in the app.
Care reminders not showing
- Allow notifications for SproutZen in iOS Settings.
- Enable reminders per care type on the plant’s Care tab.
Location for diagnosis
Location is optional and only used when you start AI diagnosis and grant permission. It improves suggestions with local season and recent weather. You can deny permission and still diagnose.
Subscriptions & restores
- Purchases are billed by Apple.
- Use Restore purchases in the app paywall if you reinstalled or changed devices.
- For refund requests, contact Apple Support — we cannot issue refunds directly.
Delete my data
Garden data is stored locally. Delete plants in the app or uninstall SproutZen to remove on-device data. We do not host a user account database for garden content.
